This is the last time we see Quidditch in the Harry Potter movies.
Harry doesn’t play Quidditch in this movie, but there’s still the world cup to look forward to (7:32) – Krum! Krum! And who can forget the Triwizard Tournament? Although not exactly Quidditch, there is a lot of flying going on (54:23). He’s taken to the hospital wing to recover (56:40). Gryffindor vs Hufflepuff – it’s a tough match alright, especially with Cedric Diggory on the team (54:12)! Harry + dementors = bad news. Does anyone else smell Felix Felicis nearby? But of course, Harry still manages to win the match – and by a fluke, no less. Then comes that Slytherin/Gryffindor match with that dastardly rogue bludger (53:00). The Chamber of Secrets has a few noteworthy Quidditch scenes: one where Draco shows off his sweet new ride, the Nimbus 2001 (38:02). And, who can forget Harry’s first-ever Quidditch match (1:15:28)?
Isn’t she a beaut? Then we see Oliver introducing Harry to Quidditch after his almost disastrous spotting by Professor McGonnogal (1:04:26). The first encounter we have of Quidditch isn’t the game – it’s running across the Nimbus 2000 in Diagon Alley (21:30). Once I got over my shock at this fact, I tracked down which films could supply some reference. For those of you looking to make a Quidditch costume, I have a tip for you: not every Harry Potter movie features Quidditch.
